  • As Wally is growing up, he and Beaver seem to be doing fewer and fewer things together. June, missing that brotherly companionship, makes Wally and Beaver clean out the garage together. In the garage, Beaver finds Wally's old broken typewriter, which Beaver wants to use with Wally to type "stuff". Having outgrown what he considers kid stuff, Wally declines. But when Beaver takes the typewriter to Gus the fireman to fix, Beaver and Larry decide to start a local daily newspaper, "Maple Drive News". Although Wally initially wants nothing to do with the newspaper and wants the typewriter back all to himself, he, after a request from June for him to be nice to his brother, ends up being Beaver's typist for the newspaper in Larry's absence. The newspaper ends up being an initial success and Beaver and Wally are having fun together. But can this new found togetherness between brothers last?
