Iskender is a failure as a magician. He knows his tricks, but the audience doesn't catch on and when the 'sawing a woman in half' part of his show goes terribly wrong Iskenders employer, club owner Ayhan, is fed up with him too. Iskender and his assistant and friend 'Maradona' are devastated. Where will they get money now to finally get their eyes lasered and pay the rent? Iskender has a great idea; leave Istanbul and do a small tour in Anatolia. For that they need the caravan of his brother-in-law and that caravan is currently occupied by Iskenders father, the grumpy and seemingly senile Sait. There's no other choice than to bring him along. Luckily Sait is a good bargainer and he lands Iskender a job on a wedding in a village where they are stranded with car trouble. Reluctantly he agrees, but it isn't going as planned. How is he going to explain the actual disappearance of the bride Fatma in one of his tricks? Written by

Obviously Cem Yilmaz is very good, even the best actor for his roles. But again we understand with this film, his other capabilities at the other side of the camera are not such bright.
The movie has enough humor, comedy and dramatic elements to watch and spend some joyful time. However it is not the masterpiece expected from him and I don't expect such a masterpiece from Cem Yılmaz as script writer or director, but as a player. I felt in his all movies, if he take place only as actor, he is enormous successful, but if he has other tasks with the film, like director, producer etc., he lost his concentration. When I was watching the film, I felt that while playing his role, his mind is at the other side of the camera. It is pity that such acting skill is disturbed by other matters.
I also would like to remind that Mazhar Alanson is originally theater actor (not musician) and it is not surprise for me to see his successful performance. But I admit that his musical achievements are much ahead of his real profession. I should also point out the character he was playing was so likable for me.
