To avoid any problems with the state of Israel (in the seventies it was forbidden to maintain relations with Palestinians) the directors remained anonymous.
Between 1974 and 1977 they shot in Nazareth, Akka, and Galilee, where the Palestinians lived in distressing conditions, as well in the occupied territories of Jerusalem and Ramallah.
With the help of two Palestinian friends, they even succeeded in visiting the ransacked villages of Golan and Gaza.
Everything was shot on Super 8, for financial reasons as much as for secrecy. The 16mm blow-up then proved a more costly affair.
Palestine, the price of Peace was regularly featured on the alternative circuit and in March 1978 was awarded the bronze medal at the Baghdad Film Festival.
