Hey Montrealers, you’re all invited to assist to the theatrical premiere of Phil Spurrell’s chilling surnatural drama The Descendant. This film is a little wonder, made without any government funds, it reminds us of a forgotten chapter of Canada’s dark history with the help of a few good scares. The film played in multiple events, won the award for best picture at the Philadelphia Film Festival and got rave reviews from Rue Morgue and Film Threat. It opens next Friday at Montreal’s only repertory theater, the much beloved Cinema du Parc. Come support real independant cinema !
