Classic children's television, 24 September 2006

I loved the Munch Bunch as a kid! Such memorable characters as Ollie Onion, Spud, Suzie Celery... everyone had their favourite. Thankfully I still have 2 episodes taped from the very early 1980s. We used to collect the popular book series too.

This is when children's television was in it's golden era. Great story lines, great puppetry and always a good moral at the end.

I hope the Munch Bunch makes it to DVD soon for kids of the future to enjoy and learn from.

Many other UK kids shows have made it to DVD... Camberwick Green, Mr Benn, Bagpuss... so I think the Munch Bunch is long overdue for a deserved release!
