In today’s TV news Roundup, USA Network announced its spring and summer slate, while Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood are set to host the 44th Daytime Emmy Awards.

USA Network has revealed its lineup of spring and summer programming, which features “The Sinner,” a mystery drama starring Jessica Biel, and new seasons for long-running “Suits” and “Shooter.”

The Sinner” examines the story of a woman who commits a shocking act of violence in a fit of rage, but cannot remember why. Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is left to obsess over the motives behind her crime. The eight-episode thriller is based on Petra Hammesfahr’s book of the same name and is also executive produced by Biel. It premieres on Aug. 2 at 10 p.m./9c.

The seventh season of “Suits” premieres July 12 at 9 p.m./8c. “Queen of the South‘s” second season premieres June 8 at 10 p.m »

Common Takes on L.A.-Based Thriller Quick Draw

It was revealed today that Common (John Wick: Chapter 2, Suicide Squad, Run All Night, Selma, Now You See Me) will star in a new revenge action thriller titled Quick Draw from Content Media and Lorenzo di Bonaventura - producer of the blockbuster Transformers franchise, Deepwater Horizon, Shooter, and the GI Joe franchise among others.

Harris Goldberg wrote the screenplay and will direct the film. Featuring hyper intense shoot-outs, choreographed car chases, and lightning fast hand-to-hand combat, the action in Quick Draw plays out across the mean streets of Los Angeles.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing the film with Content Media's Tom Butterfield and David Greenblatt, through his Greenlit Creative company. In addition to producing Quick Draw, Content Media is handling worldwide sales, while CAA will handle USA. Lorenzo di Bonaventura said this.

Revenge action thriller teams Content Media with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

Common, currently starring alongside Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 2 will play the lead in Quick Draw, which is set to begin shooting this summer.

Content produces and handles international sales, while CAA represents Us rights.

Harris Goldberg wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, which plays out across the mean streets of Los Angeles and according to Content’s representatives will feature “intense shoot-outs, choreographed car chases, and lightning fast hand-to-hand combat”.
