An animated series for children based on the classic "Eloise at the Plaza" books from the 1950's written by Kay Thompon and illustrated by Hilary Knight.
I wasn't expecting to like Me Eloise, but I do. While it can have its silly and predictable moments, it is very funny, charming and cute. The animation is done in a very unique style, and has a certain charm to it in the colours and backgrounds especially. The music is sweet too, while the writing is simple and funny and the stories sweet and touching, especially the Christmas episode. And I like the characters too, especially Eloise who is absolutely adorable. I also have to say the show benefits from fine voice acting from Kathaleen Gati, Tim Curry, Rob Paulson, Lynn Redgrave, Jeff Bennett, April Winchell and Mary Matilyn Mouser.
All in all, I like Me Eloise. I wasn't expecting the greatest show ever, and I didn't get that, but a show with cuteness, fun and charm. 8/10 Bethany Cox
