Storyline

Marian Campisi, (Ellen Dubin) HR Manager and Spirit's equivalent of a Brazilian Death Squad, is going on maternity leave. A going away party is being held at 3 pm, and they're all required to sign the card. But what can Jane (Teresa Pavlinek) say? She doesn't even know who Marian is. Susan (Patricia Zentilli), the party organizer, insists on giving Marian a proper send off, but Jane feels like a fake signing a card and attending a party for someone she doesn't even know. Then Susan gets ill and puts Jane in charge! Not only does Jane have to get the card signed and collect money for the gift she also has to give the speech. And Jane is terrified of public speaking. Things go from bad to worse. As Jane tries to collect anecdotes for the speech, she soon realizes no one has anything nice to say about Marian: Stella (Kate Trotter) calls her Eva Braun without the winning personality; Iggy (Andrew Misle) thinks depleted uranium would have been a better gift than a stroller; the parking ...
