Stuber

Fox has acquired Tripper Clancy's action comedy spec script "Stuber" which follows one harrowing night in the life of an Uber driver named Stu. "Vacation" reboot writer/directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley worked with Tripper to develop the script which the pair will produce. [Source: Deadline]

Devil's Night

Blumhouse Productions have set up the micro-budget horror film "Devil's Night" which Jason Blum and Bobbi Sue Luther will produce. Sean Tretta ("12 Monkeys") penned the script which is set on the night before Halloween, a night with a tradition of youth causing mischief.

Though it has existed since the 1930s, at a point in the 1980s in inner city places like Detroit, the crimes became more destructive - moving up to the likes of arson and vandalism. Ryan Turek will oversee the project for Blumhouse. [Source: Heat Vision]

This review contains spoilers.

5.12 Be Our Guest

American Horror Story has been a spectacular showcase for female characters and the actors playing those roles. Jessica Lange was a revelation. Lily Rabe stole season two. And this season, the female character that deserves the most attention and praise just happens to be played by a man. There's glamour and grandeur, acid wit and tender compassion... Liz Taylor is possibly the best example of what American Horror Story can create for a female character, but it took an actor with the fearless skill of Denis O'Hare to pull it off, with a little help from the wonderful, »

American Horror Story's shared universe aspect comes into its own this week with the fun return of a Coven character...

This review contains spoilers.

1.11 Battle Royale

It took Ryan Murphy five seasons and a return to a familiar stomping ground to bring American Horror Story full circle. The recycling of Pepper last season was a nice touch, and the freak show or the asylum was a common destination for unfortunate microcephalics back in the dark days, so to have the character move from one to the other makes sense. However, there wasn't a lot of modern crossing-over, aside from using the same actors. That's changed with Hotel. Whether it's the La location or the modern setting, old familiar faces have been popping up (and usually dying horribly) within the confines of the Hotel Cortez.

Christine Estabrook's Marcie and Matt Ross's Dr. Charles Montgomery were surprise visitors, »
