If you like wrestling or not it's fun to watch
I saw this film a few years ago. I know the work that went into it and I was impressed. The product is something that could have been seen as amateur from a far. As the film progresses this simple wrestling film soon turns into a character study of the people who love this stuff and spend their time and energy making it their own reality. The filmmakers are two of the younger bread of documentary artists that should have a greater audience in the market. As for the film itself, the audience gets a raw review of the work that goes into this strange obsession. There are a lot of people out there that find a hidden adrenaline switch in wrestling. The absolute actor breaks through and you see that the body slams, DDTS, choke-holds, and savage fighting are really not what this patrons are in it for. It is a performance. A performance for them and us and it is amazing that people are actually making this in Nova Scotia. Amazing but great.
