Immensely clever
22 January 2009 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

This is one of the strangest and cleverest short films I've seen recently. SILENCER is an Australian film that features only two men. When it begins, one guy is sitting and waiting for his friend to arrive so he can murder him--apparently he's having an affair with the man's wife. However, the clever plan falls apart very quickly when a thought bubble appears above the man's head and his friend can read his thoughts--just like you can do when you read a comics page!! This is so wacky and yet there's more to it than just this gimmick, as the story becomes rather poignant and takes a twist.

Very well acted and darn clever, this is a very good film and my only reservation is that it has adult content, so kids shouldn't watch it. I sure hope to see more from these folks!
