Storyline

It is New Year's Eve and is the last day of the '70s. Kitty is having second thoughts about selling the house and moving to Florida, even though Red thinks she is happy they are moving. Donna has just broken up with Randy and is moving to college. Jackie realizes she loves Fez. Bob decides that he's moving to Florida and open a bait shop. Eric is coming home from Africa, and Kelso, who is now living in Chicago with Brook and his daughter, meets Hyde and Fez on top of the Water Tower.

Sentimental Journey

This was a great ending. Not just an ending of the show. For someone like myself, it was very symbolic. Growing up as a teen in the seventies. I was able to relate to the music, the politics of the day, the fashions , entertainment in general etc. It was truly a blast from the past. This episode was the 70's in a nutshell for the gang. The good, the bad and all the rest. It brought up the emotions of this group of teens and mixed with series flashbacks culminated in a fine episode. It was how these kids grew up from awkward adolescents to become young adults and move forward. This episode was a celebration of this particular decade. Having growing up at this time, it probably hits a middle aged guy like myself more than say someone younger or perhaps even older. I thought it was clever that the 70s was treated as something fragile. The ending perfect. The countdown and than before the HAPPY NEW YEAR into 80.... Just like that show over. Very well done and actually quite sad that this time period is just a fond memory for this gang and for dweebs like myself. Love the final touch with the expiration 80 on the license plate.
