Garfield The Fraidy Cat.

Note: These reviews are for the Garfield episodes only!

We get a Garfield quickie. Jon wants Garfield to go jogging with him, and race him. Garfield agrees, but psyches Jon out, and locks him out of the house, so he can go back to sleep. It was slightly amusing stuff.

Fraidy Cat

Garfield and Odie are left all alone to watch a scary monster movie, while Jon goes out grocery shopping. The power goes out, and that makes things worse for Garfield and Odie. Garfield is convinced Jon has been kidnapped, and he and Odie are adamant about getting their owner back, but their imagination might be getting the best of them. This was a very entertaining episode; seeing someone as macho as Garfield act so scared, was very cute, and funny. It also has one of Garfield and Odie's rare bonding moments. Usually Garfield bullies Odie, but here they work together. When Odie gets under the covers in Garfield's bed, I actually yelled out loud "AWE!" There is also a great joke, where Garfield goes to call Jon, and then turns to the camera and says he can't talk. Not only does he break the fourth wall, but he takes a direct shot about how animals can't speak. The ending is very silly, but amusing. It's a great episode overall, and Garfield fans will love it.

8.3/10

We get another Garfield quickie. Jon wants Garfield to learn with books, and heads out. When Jon returns, Garfield has learned how to use Jon's credit card. Funny stuff

Nothing to Sneeze At

Jon thinks Garfield is sick, because he keeps sneezing. Jon is depressed because he's bought a new sports jacket, and he can't acquire a date for the evening. Jon decides to take Garfield to the vet for his sneeze, and so he can try and cajole Liz into going out with him. Jon wallows in self pity when Liz turns him down, but Liz changes her mind, and goes out to dinner with him. Jon thinks he's outwitted Garfield by leaving him at home, but Garfield manages to come along, anyway. It turns out, Garfield is allergic to Jon's sport coat. This episode is entertaining, albeit a bit overly silly. You have to kick your brain to the curb in many situations. How is Garfield allowed in restaurants & movie theaters? Its goofy things like that, which I kept questioning, but I still managed to enjoy it, because I blocked it out.
