No lasagna? Anything but that!

We start with a Garfield Quickie. Garfield is riding on Odie in the backyard. Garfield tells Odie to step on it, but Odie's momentum throws Garfield off of him. Garfield says he should have worn a seat belt. This was a harmless short that was mildly amusing.

Garfield: Forget Me Not

Jon chastises Garfield for sleeping on such a gorgeous day. Garfield spins a wheel to decide whether he should sleep or eat. The wheel lands on sleep, so Garfield decides to sleep some more. Jon ends up booting Garfield out of the house. Garfield steals some freshly made pie that Jon made. Garfield ends up getting hit in the head with a falling pie tin. As a result, Garfield suffers amnesia. Garfield no longer knows who he is, turns down lasagna, and starts being nice to Odie. This was a joy to watch. Garfield having amnesia made for some great gags. Garfield hating lasagna is like Garfield in the bizarro world. It's also a bit of karma for all the food Garfield steals. I think it's safe to say we prefer Garfield just the way he is.

We get another Garfield quickie. Garfield is very excited about all the snow outside. When he goes outside, he gets caught in all the ice, and a bunch of snowballs thrown at him by kids. It makes him yearn for summer. This was pretty typical. We look forward to certain weather, but when something we don't like happens, we start yearning for another season.

Garfield: Sales Resistance

Garfield keeps buying useless stuff from TV infomercials. Jon puts his foot down and threatens Garfield with no lasagna for life if he buys one more thing. Garfield is unable to resist temptation, and orders a free elephant repeller. I laughed a lot with this one. Watching Garfield try to follow orders is definitely amusing. We all know Garfield is no good at that. The ending is extremely improbable, but one of the reasons I love Garfield so much.

Overall, this is harmless fun at its finest. If you love Garfield, you have no reason not to watch this. It brings out the kid in all of us.
