Storyline

Marnie and Dylan have graduated high school and are now going to go to college at Witch U in Halloweentown. Marnie is offered a full scholarship, Marni's mother, Gwen of course does not want her daughter at school in Halloweentown so she forces Dylan to tag along. At the school, witches and warlocks can't use magic. Marnie soon makes a new friend named Aneesa, whom is a genie. Marnie soon discovers that she is partly to blame for the rules against the use of magic at school. At one point a box, with the name "S. Cromwell" inscribed on it, magically appears in front of her. Most people at the school believe that Marnie used her magic to conjure up the box, but it was brought to her by fate. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

During the scene in which Marnie attempts to magically open the box, several references are made to other famous witches in cinema. She twitches her nose, as seen in "Bewitched", and cocks her head, as seen in "I Dream Of Jeannie." See more »

Goofs

When Gwen Piper is talking to Aggie in the soup pot at the beginning of the movie, it sounds like Aggie addresses Gwen as Linda. However, she is really saying 'Gwenda' as a nickname for Gwendolyn. See more »

Quotes

Splendora Cromwell: You must be of my family. I put an enchantment of protection on this room and everything that is in it. Only a Cromwell would be allowed inside.
Marnie Piper: I am a Cromwell.
Splendora Cromwell: Indeed? How is it we have never met?
Marnie Piper: I'm from the future.
Splendora Cromwell: Oh, indeed? That would explain the clothes.
Marnie Piper: Well, we can't all have a royal dresser!

Kimberly is GONE!
29 October 2006 | by See all my reviews

Personally, I thought that the fourth movie was horrible. The decision to bring Sara Paxton is because Kimberly J Brown had scheduling conflicts was an idiotic decision that should have gotten someone fired. If that wasn't bad enough, Aggie Cromwell was had a MINOR role and Sophie had almost no role at all. They only brought back four MAJOR characters from the former movies and that was Dylan, (who wasn't as funny or sarcastic as the first three movies) Gwen Cromwell,(who was much more entertaining in the first three) and Ethan(who was much different from the role in the third and had a MUCH larger role.)

I think that the decision to not put Luke the goblin in was also bad judgment because I found Luke to be a funny and interesting character, and i would have liked to see if anything would happen between him a and Marnie.

There was also talk of Kal making a comeback and I think this would have been a very good idea as he was one of my favorite characters even if he was evil.

All in all, the fourth Halloweentown movie was a disappointment and I hope that the fifth will be better!
