A variation of clever camera angles and forced perspective helped maintain the illusion that Elizabeth Banks was several inches taller than Emily Browning, who, in reality, is only two inches shorter.
The Uninvited (2009) was originally intended to be titled exactly like the original film, A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), before it became The Uninvited (2009).
The character of Anna is meant to be 14-15 years old during the film's plot. However, Emily Browning was 18 years old at the time of filming.
