Yes. The Uninvited is a remake of the 2003 South Korean horror film Janghwa, Hongryeon [English: A Tale of Two Sisters], which was inspired by a Korean folktale that has been adapted to film several times. "Janghwa" ("Rose Flower") and "Hongreyon" ("Red Lotus") refer to the two daughters of a man named Bae. The story was adapted for this movie by Korean director Kim Ji-Woon with additional input by screenwriters Craig Rosenberg, Doug Miro, and Carlo Bernard.

It is either Anna or Rachel. In the film, there is a scene where Anna looks into the boathouse just like that, however it is not as creepy-looking as it is on the poster. Also, at the end of the TV spots when the main title is displayed, the poster is shown, but the woman's hand has a wedding ring on it, so it could also be Rachel and it would make the most sense for it to be her.

Rachel knew that Anna was mentally unstable and reacted strongly to it. She most likely did not want to tell Anna about her name change because it was personal to her. She also offered to give Anna the pearl necklace once she saw how much Anna brought them up. When she realized Anna was going crazy and heard her talking about killing her, Rachel tried to sedate her until the father came home or she could take her to a hospital. Rachel took the knife away from Anna, assuming that she was going to slit her wrists again. When Anna went to the police station, the sheriff immediately realized that she was delusional, and called Rachel in to sedate Anna and take her home safely. Anna most likely pieced together the Racher-murderer story from what Kemp told her in the mental hospital, about her job as a nurse and how she killed a family.
