MTV and NextMovie are happy to give you your first look at the first trailer for "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" and boy, do these kids want this blanket something fierce.
In the sequel to 2010's "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," Percy (Logan Lerman) and all his demigod friends are back. After rescuing Zeus' all-powerful lightning bolt in the series' first installment, Percy and Co. (including Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Douglas Smith and more, including "The Host"'s Jake Abel as scowly demigod Luke) must recover a golden fleece, which will save their home, Camp Half-Blood, from the Bad Guys (and, one assumes, the shivers).
Check out the trailer, above, for all kinds of cool effects (fire! Swords! Intrigue! Adventure!), friendly teen competition (looks like Leven Rambin, as Clarisse La Rue, gives our favorite wallflower demigod a run for his money) and, of course, a desperate search for fleece. »

If you barely remember “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” we don’t blame you. It came out over three years ago and raked in only $88 million in the domestic box office, making a large majority of its money in the foreign market. So now we have the sequel, “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” which comes out this summer and the first images from the movie have just landed online. Hopefully, viewing these photos will help refresh your memory regarding the franchise. The movie stars Logan Lerman (“Perks of Being a Wallflower”) as well as Stanley Tucci, Nathan Fillion, Missi Pyle, Mary Birdsong, and Brandon T. Jackson (“Tropic Thunder, the new "Beverly Hills Cop"). In 'Sea of Monsters,' Percy Jackson and his friends’ adventures continue as they look for the golden fleece in order to save Camp Half-Blood’s magical borders from sinister foes. Sounds exciting. For those »

It all went a bit quiet for Percy Jackson following the release of The Lightning Thief in 2010. The adaptation of the first in Rick Riordan's young adult series didn't quite break even during its Us run, but its performance overseas persuaded Fox to move ahead with a sequel nonetheless. Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters is the result, once again starring Logan Lerman and co., and the first few stills have just arrived online. Thor Freudenthal (Diary Of A Wimpy Kid) is the director this time, with Chris Columbus taking a back seat as producer along with Twilight's Karen Rosenfelt. Sea Of Monsters, logically based on the second of Rick Riordan's series of Percy Jackson novels, has been adapted by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (Agent Cody Banks, 1408), and sees Percy (Logan Lerman) and Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario) on an Argonaut-ical quest to find the Golden Fleece and rescue Grover »
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has a habit of casting actors on the cusp of fame, be they Matthew McConaughey and Renée Zellweger in 1994′s Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, Jessica Biel in the 2003 remake of Tobe Hooper’s original classic shocker, or Matt Bomer in 2006′s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. The latest thespian hoping to benefit from what we’re going to call “the Chainsaw bump” is Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) who plays the heroine in Texas Chainsaw 3D, which arrives in cinemas this Friday.
