1 hour ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Earlier today we brought you some comments from Josh Brolin about his upcoming role as Cable in 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2 and X-Force, but of course that’s not the only comic book role he has in the pipeline as 2018 will see him battling Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as Thanos in Marvel StudiosAvengers: Infinity War.

During an interview with Collider, Brolin has been chatting about his experience on the hotly-anticipated superhero epic, as well as sharing some praise for directors Anthony and Joe Russo.

“Dude, I’m in a position just personally where not everybody loves me and that’s okay,” said Brolin when asked if he’s concerned that fans will hate him for battling our favourite Marvel heroes. “Look, not everybody can be on your side all the time and that’s okay. When playing a character like this, dude, it’s like there’s »

They were proposed by their bosses and peers who have worked with them and seen their rise. All are age 40 or under, and Variety has measured them by the progress of their career trajectories: do they take calculated risks? How fast have they risen in their companies? Are they innovative and employ solutions to problems that are creative? While it’s hard to pinpoint the “it” factor, these folks embody that intangible. The people on the list have helped build the brilliant careers of their clients, shepherded hit television shows and successful movies, created small-screen series, films and animated shows, launched digital platforms, fostered hit music, counseled top dealmakers and financed them, and are some »

The Scariest Serial Killers on TV, According to Critics — IndieWire Survey

17 October 2017 9:14 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)

This week’s question: Who is the scariest serial killer on TV? You define “scary.” Old and current shows fair game.

Daniel Fienberg (@TheFienPrint), The Hollywood Reporter

Landry from “Friday Night Lights.”

Damian Holbrook (@damianholbrook), TV Guide Magazine

Ok, so he wasn’t necessarily a serial killer, but “Nip/Tuck’s” The Carver gave me a serious case of the scareds. After his first appearance near the end of Season 2, the porcelain-masked serial-slashing maniac who was all about slicing up hot people (because “beauty is a curse,” of course!) ran amok in Season 3 and the amount of series-regular characters he went after was kind of unprecedented. More Justice League Promos Bring Us New Footage

9 October 2017 4:15 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Barring the last-minute clips and scintillating promos, Sunday’s grand trailer reveal was concrete proof that the Justice League marketing campaign is now beginning to enter the homestretch.

Set against a rather somber, yet fitting cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes,” the footage itself signaled Steppenwolf’s oncoming invasion, as the DC mega-villain waged war on Themyscira and its opulent army of Amazonians. Out of luck and out of time, Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader then begins scouring the globe in search of allies, eventually cobbling together a team comprised of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Flash (Ezra Miller). And that’s where the fun really begins.

If you’re looking for even more from the pic though, we’ve got you covered. Earlier today, the studio dropped two additional promos for Justice League, which can be seen above and below. Admittedly, the second »

On the Marvel side of things, we’re still waiting on an Avengers: Infinity War trailer, but we do have plenty of Thor: Ragnarok promotional material, as well as rumours of Punisher delays, a first look at Runaways and more, and over at Fox Gambit may have found another director…

The latest trailer for Warner Bros.’s follow-up to “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” dropped at New York Comic Con Sunday, and showed the world under attack from possibly alien invaders.

Beginning with a Lois Lane (Amy Adams) dream sequence featuring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent in his first appearance in a trailer for “Justice League,” the last trailer before the premiere faces his apparent death in the previous film head on. Batman (Ben Affleck) says that the world needs Superman, and that he “made him a promise.” Bruce Wayne also describes a dream he had as “the end of the world.” When Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) suggests it’s an invasion, he replies, “I think it’s something more, something darker.”

See 'Justice League' Form to Honor Superman in New Trailer

Fresh off Wonder Woman hosting Saturday Night Live, Warner Bros. has unveiled the latest trailer for Justice League, the DC Cinematic Universe's superhero blockbuster.

As opposed to previous Justice League previews, the latest trailer is distinct in that it puts Henry Cavill's Superman front-and-center instead of simply teasing his presence. Here, Clark Kent is shown in a pre-Dawn of Justice flashback, cementing that Superman will feature in Justice League in some capacity.

The Justice League Come Together In One Final Trailer

As Warner Bros. continues to future-proof its prized Dceu with Joker origin stories and spinoffs featuring Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime and his muse, Harley Quinn, the Justice League are quietly waiting for their time in the limelight.

Truth be told, it’s been a long, meandering journey to release, but the film is almost here now and as we inch closer and closer to November 17th, Warner Bros. is beginning to really kick the marketing machine into high gear. That continues today with the final, and suitably epic trailer for the pic – which is set to a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes.”

Packed to the brim with explosive action, great character moments, improved effects and tons of fun interactions between the various team members, it’s without a doubt the most promising look at the film yet and should help ease the worries of those who »

International Newswire: Bavaria Fernsehproduktion Rebrands as Bavaria Fiction

5 October 2017 12:47 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

In today’s International Newswire, Bavaria Fernsehproduktion rebrands; Gaumont picks up a millennial drama, from Milo Ventimiglia; Alexander Coridass steps down at Zdfe; and Sony adds social edge to its new Mexican TV drama.

Bavaria Fernsehproduktion, one of Europe’s biggest production companies, has rebranded as Bavaria Fiction. There are several good reasons. One: The name, Bavaria TV Production in German, was a misnomer. Bavaria Fernsehproduktion moved waves last month scoring the first original series production commission from Deutsche Telekom, hardly a traditional TV, on comedy half-hour “Germanized,” on which, Variety reported, Amazon Prime Video, again hardly a traditional TV, is in advanced negotiations to acquire select territories. Bavaria Fiction, as its new name makes clear, only produces fiction, not general entertainment. Also, try pronouncing “Fernsehproduktion” if you’re not German. Bavaria Fiction has a weighty core business producing for Germany’s domestic market such shows as evergreen soap “Storm of Love” for Ard, episodes »

Before Playing Jack Pearson, Milo Ventimiglia Was Fergie's Music Video Boyfriend

Milo Ventimiglia has had some iconic roles over the years: Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls, Peter Petrelli on Heroes, and now Jack Pearson on This Is Us. One of his most underrated appearances, though, definitely has to be when he played Fergie's love interest in her "Big Girls Don't Cry" music video. In 2006, Ventimiglia took a walk on the wild side when he played the singer's tattooed, often shirtless boyfriend. While Fergie definitely isn't afraid to show off her sexy side, she admitted she was "totally nervous" about making out with the actor. Honestly, do you blame her? "I just had to tell him, like, 'Please help me with this,'" she told Entertainment Tonight about filming the steamy scenes for the video. "He was so great." We can only imagine.
