The Whispers First Look: That's Not a Firefly Making the Child Glow, Is It?

The poster for ABC’s summer thriller The Whispers is rated TV-cc — and that stands for Creepy Child.

Ok, Ok, the kid is cute enough, but it’s the eerie glowing hands — and that “Not all imaginary friends are imaginary” tagline — that’s making us a little uneasy.

NBC’s Heroes Reborn reboot series continues to shape up, as another actress has been added to the growing cast. According to EW, the latest addition is Dexter and Masters of Sex alum Rya Kihlstedt, in a role that – much like most of the details about this project – is being kept tightly under wraps.

We do know that Kihlstedt will be a series regular, so whoever she’s playing, we’ll be seeing a lot of her. She’s just one of several new additions to the Heroes mythos, the others being Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Judith Shekoni, Dinika Yarosh, Henry Zebrowski and Gatlin Green.

Much of the original cast is not expected to appear, though several of them could pop up in cameo roles. Those who we know will be present are Jack Coleman’s Noah “Hrg” Bennet, Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura and Jimmy Jean-Louis as “The Haitian. »

Jess Mariano, is that you? Gotham fans might have recognized a familiar face during the Monday, April 13 episode, when Gilmore Girls and Heroes alum Milo Ventimiglia made his debut as the eerily calm serial killer “The Ogre.”  Though the Ogre hasn’t appeared in the Batman films, he is a big villain in the DC Comics series. In the comics the Ogre is a genetically altered man who is used as an experiment, but on the superhero Fox series, he’s a charismatic serial killer.  “He’s a guy who’s [...] »

12 Actors You Probably Forgot Were On Heroes

NBC

It’s been nearly a decade since NBC’s Heroes burst onto the scene with its stellar first season, and five years since it limped to the finish line of its four-season run.  Despite its initial status as a critical darling and ratings success, the show’s forcibly truncated second season – resulting from the 2008 Writer’s Guild Strike – put the series into a rut that it never recovered from.

Throughout its time on the air, Heroes had a huge cast of characters that many still remember, from series mainstays like Hiro, the Petrellis, Claire, “Hrg” and, of course, Sylar, to memorable minor characters like The Haitian. Its roster of characters, many of whom were often dealing with their own storylines, meant that the supporting cast was expansive.

To fill it out, the series frequently brought notable guest stars like George Takei and Malcolm McDowell into the fold for some of its biggest stories, »

Gotham Review: “Beasts Of Prey” (Season 1, Episode 19)

See Full Gallery Here

Gotham returned from its latest hiatus tonight and came out swinging for the first of four final episodes. Unfortunately, though, “Beasts of Prey” is a monumental swing and a miss and was definitely not worth the wait.

Like many episodes, the hour is split between multiple characters, each with varying degrees of success. We’ve got Jim Gordon hunting down a serial killer known as the Ogre (played pretty well by Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia), Fish still in captivity on the Dollmaker’s island, Penguin trying to buy some real estate and Bruce hunting down the man who stabbed Alfred in the gut. All of the subplots are problematic, but the Penguin’s is perhaps the best, which is disappointing since it’s the one with the shortest amount of screentime.

The biggest crime that the episode commits is laziness, as the story beats plod along without much weight or urgency, »

The first screenings have already taken place with additional press screenings occurring tomorrow but early reactions on Twitter have people calling it "darker, weirder and more emotional than the original", "I can't believe it's coherent, let alone so fun" and "Black Widow kicks ass and Hawkeye has the best lines". Sound good to youc Apparently the embargo on reviews lifts on April 21, but I won't be seeing it here in Seattle until April 28... the price you pay for not being cool. Since October, Fox’s Gotham has told a tale of unrequited love (or something) between Edward Nygma (played by Cory Michael Smith) and Gcpd colleague Kristen Kringle (Chelsea Spack). But to what end?

Will this repeatedly crushed crush serve as merely a first catalyst toward the riddle-loving forensics whiz evolving into his fated alter ego, or is it the catalyst?

“She is the catalyst,” Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller assures TVLine. “And she’s an innocent one at that> That’s the tragedy of it — she doesn’t mean to break his heart.”
