Storyline

People all over the U.S start to realize they have special abilities, like telekinesis, healing abilities, flying powers, time travel, invisibility, and the ability to absorb other's abilities. One man, known as Sylar, wants to gain all the power of these "heroes" so he can be the most powerful and evolved human of all, and stops at nothing to gruesomely kill these people. In order to protect themselves from him, these people must help one another before Sylar can destroy them all, while they each deal with problems of their own. Written by Patrick Ozzy Lauzier

A show that needs to be cancelled
6 May 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This show started off with so much potential but it needs to be cancelled now. I don't know how heroes fan-boys can keep watching this, I've given up. How many times can we deal with the safe story repeating itself? Huge holes in the story? Characters becoming useless just before they were about to become cool? This is more of a soap opera than a superhero show. Where are all the powers? This show doesn't come close to fulfilling any expectations from any real comic book reader. Heroes get off TV please.

One bad mutant? Please... this show turned into the next prison break; aka lets lie to our audience and try and see how many episodes we can create and still have them get watched... get a good story and stick with it... people want that and nothing else.

------------------------------------------------------

So I watched the newest season up until episode 12 to see what was going on... surprise surprise, one bad guy with the normal (and only powerful bad guy) coming back to life after some weak heroes can't do something to be heroic. This show is an embarrassment to the time slot it was given.

Want a summary?

Season 1) one bad guy, he dies, comes back, time changes, everything is back to normal as per episode 1 Season 2) repeat of season 1 Season 3) repeat of season 2, thus, a repeat of season 1 Season 4) repeat of seasons 1-3 with a slight twist... there is now another bad guy who is essentially doing the same thing as the first bad guy... threatening the world, though they haven't explicitly shown this it's pretty much assumed for anyone that's seen the show for 10 minutes

There are no creative individuals on this writing staff which is horrible considering the previous writing staff. At least the original writing staff were going in the proper direction before they were all fired after the strike. I would love for TV shows to just... you know... KEEP PLAYING THE EPISODES regardless of a strike, you lead us along with a story and a promise of that story and then something happens and for some reason it needs to be changed... no, it did not need to be changed, it needed to be aired so we could watch it. Rewriting the end of the season just made your show terrible.

Honestly one of the worst shows on TV. There's nothing to get out of this show. Stop wasting your time and go watch something with some good writing and non-cheesy glamour shots, this is worse than ugly betty... and I hate that show.

Go watch Dexter, It's always sunny in philly, californication, rome, entourage, lost (getting to be a stretch, every 3rd episode goes nowhere), kings, and the list goes on... there are so so so so so many better shows up there than this waste of time.
