Storyline

Three humorless men from a damaged bulk freighter find the TARDIS. Wearily, Romana returns with them to appraise the situation of their damaged ship but, because she's a time sensitive, winds up as a living navigational component to replace their time-sensitive Tharil (lion-man) who escaped. Meanwhile the Doctor, having found a gateway, is having a time with Gundans, robot soldiers programmed to kill. Written by statmanjeff

Golden Axe is brought to life
14 August 2015 | by (Swansea, United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Part 1 ended with the seemingly ornamental guards about to kill the Doctor, (this is one long recap) who manages to escape. Romana then offers her help to Rorvik and Packard, who are also marooned, but is soon co-erced into becoming their new navigator (replacing Biroc.) The Doctor discovers through rooting K-9 up to one of the Gundan Robots that they are indeed at the gateway, and Romana looks in peril from a newly activated Tharil

This is quite a fun episode, it has the feel of Golden Axe to it, 80's Arcade game. For the time I think it was actually a very complex plot, it's a good one, I don't remember it being as imaginative as this.
