The poster on the wall of the London Underground advertising a movie called 'Block-Busters' with Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger is actually a redrawn version of the poster for In the Heat of the Night (1967), which was released the year this story aired. The Earth-bound stories of this era were said to be set a few years into the future, so perhaps the redressed poster is an attempt by the production team to suggest a sequel to that movie.
