  • Factual errors: During the first game between Toronto and LA, Roanoke and Grande get into a fight. The referee informs Roanoke that he has been given a game suspension which is actually called a game misconduct.

  • Factual errors: During one of the Stanley Cup games Roanoke hits the puck above his head. He then hits the puck out of the air while it is at head level and scores a goal. This goal would have been disallowed since a player is not allowed to touch a puck with his stick if it is above the normal shoulder height. This infraction is called "high sticking the puck".

  • Factual errors: According to the voice-over commentary, the sixth game of the series took place in Toronto. However, the seventh game also took place in Toronto. According to how home ice advantage works in the NHL playoffs, the same team cannot host both game 6 and 7 of a series. Also, Game 5 should have been in Toronto, as teams alternate two home games through Game 4. The correct schedule, had the Leafs obtained home-ice advantage, would be TOR-TOR-LA-LA-TOR-LA-TOR.

  • Factual errors: An on-ice official can't penalize a player with a suspension outside of the current game.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Rob Blake is a defenceman, yet he is seen taking a face-off at the end of the game, a role reserved for forwards.

  • Continuity: In Coach Cherkov's office the ceiling tile around Pitka's head suddenly rotates forty-five degrees before he leaves.

  • Factual errors: When Coach is asked to stall, he calls a time out. The play by play commentator reports Toronto taking its "last" time out. This implies they have multiple time outs. In the NHL, a team is only allowed ONE time out per game. The same error occurs later on, the coach is asked to stall again to which he replies "We're out of time outs" and then fakes a heart attack.

  • Continuity: In the first game Guru Pitka hits Darren on the head with a stick of yellow flowers (right after he tells him he is not allowed to fight with anyone). Most of the petals fall off. When the camera cuts back as the Guru turns to his assistant the stick is full of petals again as before.

  • Continuity: In the mini-office scene, after Jane holds Coach Cherkov back from attacking Pitka, he is shown sitting back in his chair, rolling it forward. However, after the camera cuts to a different angle, he is suddenly sitting back into the chair again.

  • Continuity: During the bar fight the guru is being hit by a birthday girl and held back by another birthday girl. Between hits they somehow switch places.

  • Continuity: During Game 6, when the team is celebrating the tied series, the players are not wearing Stanley Cup Final patches on their jerseys.

  • Errors in geography: At the end on Game #3, played in LA, they move from the locker room (Staples Center is on the back wall) into a suite, proceeding with their conversation. You can see the seating to the 500 level of Toronto Blue Jays (Roger's Center/SkyDome) in the window.

  • Errors in geography: During the scene where the Guru Pitka is talking to Darren Roanoke at Niagara Falls, the two are seen standing at the lookout next to the Bridal Veil falls. However, on the one-shot of Guru Pitka, he is standing on the Canadian side of the Falls, where you can clearly see the lookout they are supposed to be standing on.

  • Continuity: In the scene where Coach Cherkov hits Guru Pitka in the balls, this should not be possible as the Guru is wearing his Chastity belt.

  • Continuity: The movie depicts the teams wearing the 2007 version of the Stanley Cup Finals badging on the chests of the jerseys, however the teams are wearing the RBK Edge styled jerseys that were introduced for the 2007-08 season, the badging is wrong with the jersey styles.

  • Continuity: At the start of the bar fight, right after the band starts, you can see Guru Pitka and Darren Roanoke in the back separate and join the fight, and immediately after this they do it again.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Jacques 'Le Coq' Grande walks in to serve his special Quebec pizza, his top lifts up to show his stomach and you can clearly see parts of the stuffing sticking out from the top of his Speedo.

  • Continuity: In the bar, when Pitka is making noises with a cup, behind Roanoke there are two ladies, they appear and disappear between scenes.
