The Prince's Trust 30th Birthday Live
14 June 2006 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

ITV put on this celebrity filled extravaganza of small events including live music and game shows to celebrate the anniversary of this great charity. Hosted by Vernon Kay, Patrick Kielty, Kate Thornton and Ben Elton, the night had many memorable moments. Segments included a special celebrity Blankety Blank with Big Brother's Chantelle facing Stephen Fry, with celebrity panelists Jonathan Ross, Coronation Street's Suranne Jones, Ronnie Corbett, Zoe Lucker, John Thomson and Su Pollard; Celebrity Blind Date with Dame Edna Everage choosing Sir Roger Moore, Richard E. Grant or The X Factor's Chico; and many live performances by The (surviving) Bee Gees, Annie Lennox, McFly, Embrace, Ozzy Osbourne, Will Young, Ronan Keating, The Sugababes and Pink. But of course, the most watchable moment was Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (Ant and Dec) interviewing the three Prince's, creators of the Trust, Charles, Harry and William. Other celebrities who appeared, many to answer donation calls included: Cat Deeley, Nicholas Owen, Myleene Klass, Duncan James, Andi Peters, Lesley Joseph, Colin Salmon, Carol Smillie, Martin Kemp, Lulu, Les Dennis, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Kenzie, Javine, Carol Thatcher, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Dame Kelly Holmes, Dr. Gillian McKeith, Jo "Supernanny" Frost, Neil and Christine Hamilton, Louis Walsh, Johnny Vegas, Sharon Osbourne, Fern Britton, Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Kirsty Gallacher, Mark Austen, Sheila Ferguson, Caprice, Amanda Holden, Jill Halfpenny, Kerry Katona, Emma Bunton, Michael Greco, Shayne Ward and Camilla Perker-Bowles. Very good!
