Storyline

In a world where reality and entertainment are continuously colliding, Academy Award winning documentary filmmaker Bill Guttentag's feature debut Live! follows ABN network president Katy Courbet and up-and-coming documentary filmmaker Rex as inspiration strikes to create the most daring reality program ever. The show is Russian Roulette, network style, with contestants competing for five million dollars on-air, complete with loaded guns. As seen through the lens of a documentary film crew, Live! examines the competitive and often gut-wrenching world of television production, where everyone from the crew to the contestants to the network brass becomes engulfed in a ratings battle to the top-a battle where questions of morality, ethics and sheer will lead to a darkly humorous and unforgettable outcome. Early on, Katy mentions the decapitations of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette. The first name should be Louis XVI, who died January 21, 1793. By then, Louis XIV (September 5, 1638 - September 1, 1715) had been dead for 77 years. See more »

Quality Film - Review by a honest watcher not a wannabe film critic.
4 February 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

While I am not a film buff, nor am I a wannabe film critic(so less likely to find pathetic flaws in a good film, unlike the other reviewers)I will give this film a honest review from someone who quite simply watches films to just enjoy them.

I thought this film rocked, was film really well in a documentary style, Eve Mendes was excellent as always. The thrill of the film was admittedly the last 20 mins but rest of film was also very good and you need to watch it to gether up the tension no point watching the last 20 mins cause that will be boring. The way that it was filmed really made me feel that this was LIVE on my TV set.

I even could not believe how the film ended which was a good thing at the end of a awesome film, Everything I wanted in a film and would tell everyone who is anyone to watch it, it will suit everyone.

Remember don't listen to wannabe critics who leave review's look at for mine I will give a quick honest review> Laters
