"Wanna save a mink's butt?"

After watching a previously unaired episode of Mister Ed, where he's put out of his misery, Beavis and Butt-head go to school where Mr. Van Driessen talks to the class about animals and addresses the sensitive issue of a furrier opening in town. A furrier being an establishment wherein animals are killed for their fur to be made into coats and stoles bought by rich assholes. Speaking of which, Daria blatantly explains anal electrocution, which is how the poor animals are killed. Butt-head suggests they take a field trip to watch the furrier process, which Van Driessen rejects and instead instructs the class to go door-to-door with a petition to stop this barbaric establishment. So, Beavis and Butt-head begin their campaign, but don't get too far at first. So they decide to try a different approach. They visit a plastered redneck on the outskirts and claim they're giving away beer. They manage to collect a signature from him before he collapses. The next day in class, Beavis and Butt-head hand in their petition, having collected signatures from such upstanding citizens as Hugh G. Rection, Ben Dover, Rosie Palm and her five sisters, Betty Humpter, and Beavis and Butt-head themselves. Van Driessen's only qualm is that the boys didn't get Palm's five sisters to sign individually.

This one was pretty funny. Beavis and Butt-head fans should definitely give this one a look. It's got a good amount of dark humor, like that old woman with the black eye who beats up her dog, as well as the graphic details of how a furrier works. This episode marks the first appearance of Daria Morgandorfer, and the second appearance of David Van Driessen. The animation is sub-par, but doesn't take away from the entertainment value. If you can find this episode, check it out.
