This episode, being the first of the series is not a beavis and butt-head classic but funny none-the-less.

The boys are flipping through channels and find a supposed arnold Schwarzenegger commercial, there is a lot of blood in the commercial so i guess they get an idea to give blood (the episode doesn't say, because the next scene shows them on their way to the blood drive.)when they get to the trailer that the blood drive is being held in they tell the nurse they are willing to give blood. the nurse starts pumping blood out of them and gets distracted by a phone call, when she remembers the boys, they have about 75 percent of their blood extracted and apologizes and sends them home with the blood she extracted and a cookie. then back at their they see a commercial for a movie called bloodbath. then butt-head gets and idea and throws his bag of blood at beavis.

Beavis and Butt-head see a preview for a cool new Schwarzenegger movie, "The Intern", but they don't have crap for cash, so they decided to get money from the local blood bank by donating their blood. Butt-head tells Beavis about the bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 you get beforehand, and advises him not to take their first offer. So, once inside the messy blood bank, the nurse sticks bent needles into the boys and they begin draining into IV bags. Suddenly, the nurse receives a phone call. She gabs on the phone to an ex-husband, while Beavis and Butt-head's bags get bigger and bigger until they look like two big blood-filled blimps. The nurse finally comes around, advises them to forget about their donation and sends them on their way...carrying their own blood in bags. At home, Butt-head copies something he sees on TV and breaks his blood bag all over Beavis, giving him a 'blood bath'.

This was the first regular Beavis and Butt-head episode. And in my opinion, it's very funny, but very gross. There's blood everywhere, which is why I've heard they don't air it anymore, though it's no worse than what South Park shows. They haven't aired any really old Beavis and Butt-head episodes in a long time. Which may be just as well, as they're different from the later episodes, and the animation quality is considerably poor. Mike Judge voices Beavis, Butt-head and the nurse, and I think he did most of the work on this cartoon himself. So if you're a fan of Beavis and Butt-head and you can stand the site of cartoon blood, then "Blood Drive" is for you. It may be hard to find, but if you can find it, check it out, dude! Huh huh huh it's cool.

The animation is ropey (or sucks...huh-huh) in this first episode. The boys decide to give blood in the naive assumption they'll get rich. It gets a lot better than this, thankfully.

Not bad for a first attempt.

I can see that this is the very first episode of Beavis and Butthead that was generally aired, after the pilot that is. This is basically a normal storyline but not one for the faint hearted as it shows the boys giving blood and due to a careless blunder end up having more than they should have taken from them.

The plot is very minimal and the animation is very poor, but it can be clearly seen that the quality did improve with time.

This episode wasn't really that bad. It didn't bother me but I can see it upsetting quite a few people, especially the ones who are squeamish or uncomfortable where blood is concerned.
