Storyline
Rene di Rosa is smitten by art. Rene is unusual because his goal is neither about interior decorating nor increasing his social status, but about the pure joy of discovery. He has the world's largest (over 2,000) and most notable collection of Northern California art; at times colorful, figurative, humorous, rebellious, political, and radical. "It is my greatest pleasure. Without it, I can't function." -- Rene di Rosa Written by

I thought this was a very engaging story of an 85 yr old man, Rene di Rosa, in Northern California who has collected regional art for years. I saw it at the Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck, Michigan and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was drawn into the story of this man and his interest in art. You get to see a lot of his collection, which is very interesting. Mr. di Rosa is a very inspiring individual. His love of art is very clearly shown in the documentary. The director, Nancy Kelly, did a wonderful job sharing this man's story and the story of his art. I enjoyed learning about what drew him to the art and how central it is to his life.
