Warning: Spoilers
The episode begins with Jason, Melissa and Brendon up to their usual antics of filming a movie. This time, it has to do with the inexplicably invisible Melissa playing a still made-up "Amelie" character. The dialogue at the beginning of this episode I feel is some of the best captures of the thought processes of eight year olds of the show. Excellent! Then, we're at a scene where the kids are playing soccer, while Coach McGuirk looks on and yells, probably drunk. When the ball is kicked to Brendon, he accidentally scores a goal, which begins a long rivalry between our protagonists and the other team. This is a classic Walter & Perry episode, as well, with such quotes as "I've got the blood lust, Perry!" and "Ha! Ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! It's good to be different!" We find out some secrets about Coach in relation to kilts and the President of Scotland, and Melissa develops an extremely odd crush on Cho, a muscular bully from the other team. "What are you going to do? Hug us to death with all those muscles?" says Melissa while Jason and Brendon turn and look at her with disbelief, "Huh?" Don't forget "Hit me in the face, Brendon!" from his grandfather, "Coach was a Thailand dancer?" from the incredibly endearingly annoying Fenton, and "We're all dying, Melissa" from Jason. This is twenty two minutes of Home Movies brilliance.
