Mark Harrison May 24, 2017
When we look back on Dwayne Johnson's breakthrough to the A-list in about ten years' time (“Did President Johnson get the film roles he deserved?”), we'll have to consider that his status as franchise viagra, as demonstrated in the soon-to-be-released Baywatch, has led him to pick projects that are sort of beneath him.

Baywatch is the latest in a line of formerly popular TV shows to get an ironic Starsky & Hutch-style big screen reboot, following the enormous success of the Jump Street movies and the resounding failure of this year's ChiPS: Law & Disorder. With tongue firmly in cheek, Johnson has been promoting the film on his Instagram by referring to his new crew of lifeguards, »
Disclaimer: This post contains spoilers for Split (Seriously, though? What’s the statute of limitations on this one?).
Earlier this year, audiences were blown away by M. Night Shyamalan’s latest offering, Split. In years past, Shyamalan had slowly lost the trust of his millions of fans with films like The Happening and The Last Airbender. Not so long ago, just seeing his name in front of a trailer was enough to elicit groans from audiences. However, with last year’s The Visit, coupled with this year’s Split, Shyamalan’s given us a decent one-two punch that seems to foreshadow a renaissance in his career.
Split was an especially amazing film. Not only was it great on its own, but its ending revealed that it existed in the same universe as Unbreakable, one of Shyamalan’s more beloved early offerings. After nearly two decades of fans wondering if we »

Like most famous people, Dwayne Johnson’s Wikipedia page includes a nifty sidebar that includes bare bones facts, like birthday and age, with a couple of lines reserved for “occupation.” Johnson’s “occupation” line is almost amusingly slim — it simply reads, “Actor, producer, singer, professional wrestler,” which is an understated way of saying “this guy does a lot.” And it doesn’t even mention his best-selling memoir, or his charity work, and “professional wrestler” hardly indicates the tremendous success he’s had in the ring.
And “actor”? That’s a very concise tribute to his blockbuster career on the big screen, one that’s amounted to dozens of credits and an estimated lifetime box office gross (domestic only!) that totals over $2.7 billion. With Johnson toplining the early summer’s biggest hit so far, the box office-dominating “Fate of the Furious” and a non-stop barrage of other features on the way, »

His proud mother posted a video to Instagram on Wednesday of Roc showing off how he lost his front bottom tooth. "My tooth fell out and I'm so excited!" he declared in the video. "I'm so happy! I won't to show my mommy so bad."

This is for The Tooth Fairy!
USA Today is reporting that Vin Diesel is commenting about the on set friction he had with Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, on set of the new Fast and Furious movie, The Fate Of The Furious. Last August, The Rock went to Facebook and made comments about an unnamed male co-star on the film.
"Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you're right."
Lrm has spoken of this feud before, even going so far as to speculate that the feud was nothing more than a publicity stunt that would see The Rock and Vin Diesel face off in a match at this year's Wrestlemania. That obviously didn't happen. Rumors have also gone »

Another day, another salacious outfit! Kylie Jenner put on quite the show over the weekend, rocking not one but two racy ensembles.
On Saturday night the 19-year-old reality star stepped out to dinner at Catch restaurant in West Hollywood, California. Jenner sported a nude top with mesh overlay, a see-through mesh skirt with black bottoms, and matching black boots.
The cosmetics queen hit the town with some gal pals for a fun night out, and the next day sported an equally sexy ensemble while goofing off with friends.
Jenner wore a matching grey bra top and leggings, posting videos to Snapchat.
“On a stroll,” she told her fans while wandering around L.A.
Kylie and Co. went to lunch at a Japanese BBQ restaurant Gyu-Kaku at the Topanga Mall and were spotted driving off in her orange Lamborghini.

In one of the weirder wrestling stories of the year so far – and that’s saying something, as the below ‘I’ve Been Stone Cold Stunnered Support Group’ picture shows – Rock ‘The Dwayne’ Johnson and WWE Studios are making a movie based on the life of current WWE wrestler Paige.
The reason that’s so weird is because seemingly every other week has another story about strained relations between her and her employer.
The film is called Fighting With My Family, and is based on the Channel 4 documentary of the Norfolk-based Knight family, of which Paige is the daughter that found fame. It’s already got a director in The Rock’s Tooth Fairy co-star Stephen Merchant, and has cast Dwayne, Cersei Lannister, Nick Frost and Vince Vaughn. Florence Pugh will be starring as Paige.
Pro Wrestling Sheet are now reporting that a “big moment from Paige’s career »

The experience is unforgettable. The cash prize, in some cases, proves to be life-changing.
Hundreds of families have made the trek to the “Afv” studio in the hopes of collecting a $10,000 or $100,000 cash prize when the audience votes at the end of each episode. The series has handed out more than $14 million in prize money since its inception in 1989.
The money has been a windfall for many families, allowing them to buy homes, pay off bills, credit card debt and student loans. For some, the money was a godsend that helped them get through lean times. For others, the check from “Afv” became seed money for trust funds and college savings accounts.
Here’s a where-are-they-now look at five past “Afv” winners:
