A large amount of travel, research and filming has taken place for what is a thoroughly enjoyable 52 minutes. All of the relevant parties, including referees, technicians and previous high scorers are all included in the footage, even though they live all over America.
The insight provided into a retro-gamer's life is not only detailed, but also very personable and believable. Nobody is acting.
This film is not so much about the game - It is more about the people, whose goals and interests make the movie. The High Score premise makes you watch until the finish, just to see what happens.
There is a surprise ending, and a fantastic carefully picked soundtrack.
I'm waiting for a sequel.
