Jonny Lee Miller,
Handy extra but the songs work best in the context of the episodes rather than standalone
On the DVD's for both seasons of The Mighty Boosh is a summary of all the musical moments throughout the series. I suppose if you have favourite songs from the series then this DVD extra is a handy way of jumping right to them but otherwise I gotta say that I can't see a lot of value in it (or, for that matter for its inclusion as a title on this database). For my money I thought the music in Boosh was creative and fun but yet not as funny or clever as the rest of the dialogue and characters so for me it this film struggled to stand up with just the songs without any context or other material.
Of course it is still creative and fun in its own right but I couldn't really get into it without anything other than the music. As such it becomes a handy extra on the DVD to allow you to skip through all the songs without lots of messy around between menus and episodes, but as a standalone film it is questionable in its value as the songs, although good, are much better when viewed as part of the wider Boosh creation.
