Risqué Business

I found this series interesting and also a bit shocking. I was surprised to find that this series was shown on TV in Japan considering the strong sexual content.

It's about a young boy named Yukinari who has been picked on all his life by girls and thus has developed an allergy to girls and women. If a girl comes close to or even touches him, he breaks out into hives. After a mishap with his one friend (who happens to be a girl), he get teleported to the parallel world of Seirin. There, Yukinari meets a cute and very sweet girl named Miharu. For some reason Miharu is the only girl that doesn't cause Yukinari to break out, and thus they quickly become friends. Unfortunately, Yukinari finds out that Seirin's population is 90% female. What could be worse for someone who is gynophobic? Well, when other women find out about Yukinari, they all fight to make him their husband. He eventually escapes back to Earth with his new friend Miharu, however his troubles have only just begun.

While there isn't much of a central story, this was still an decent situation comedy. I liked the characters for the most part, although they could get mean spirited at times which kind of put me off. The soundtrack was arranged very nicely and I enjoyed both the opening and closing tracks. Some of the silliness got to be a little excessive, but overall not bad.

Be warned though. This series has a lot of nudity and strong sexual situations. Although not pornographic, it does get strong enough to warrant an NC-17 in some episodes. Anyone who is looking for a mature rated anime comedy, Girls Bravo is a series to try out.

Just another cheesy anime
ceojonathanmontgomery28 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Hello Fellow Humans,

So this anime is just another cheesy anime where some how the weak pathetic loser male gets a ton of women and yet he is so afraid of them he breaks out into hives. I have watched a ton of anime and honestly their is a pattern and patterns sometimes show truth. So are men in Japan just afraid of women and that's why their population is declining? Because as a male from California if I randomly went to a planet that had a 1 to 10 ration if men to women. That would be literally heaven. Think about it you would never work because you would have to have to mate day and night 24/7 pretty much. I mean think about it they said only 10% of the population is male. Meaning you have to have at least 10 wives for every male. You just couldn't have it any other way. One can only dream of this type of heaven. Maybe for once there will be an anime with a real man who stubbles into this situation. I would watch that. Because I am so tired of watching these weak pathetic excuses of men that get all these women. Maybe it is because the ones drawing these animes are these men. Seriously though try drawing an anime were the male acts like a normal male would in that situation. Extremely excited and happy to have been transported to this amazing world filled with women wanting him. But it is funny and worth watching. Just annoying because the main character like always is just so annoying and pathetic. But that's anime for the most part.

So my biggest issue with this show is how much these girls abuse this poor guy. Seriously I know it's a cartoon but their must be some truth to anime. If anime has just a hint of truth then Japan has a lot of hidden issues. Like women who hit first and ask questions later. Or men can't talk to girls. Or just bullying in general as a lot of school animes have extreme bullying. If anime has just a hint of truth then Japan has a to of abuse in its culture. Sorry but that next door neighbor would piss me off and I probably after the second or third time hit her back. It isn't even like live taps she is straight up knocking him out. Most of the time he is just ha I g something done to him and she still hits him. If you are a girl then maybe ask before you jump to conclusions. You know that saying use your words before your fists. I get what the anime is doing and a few times is funny but it was just ridiculous. I think she would knock him out like 3+ an episode. Then other girls would as well. I mean heck the poor guy was shot at a ton as well. It is absolutely insane. This guy needs to stand up and put these girls in their place. Especially that neighbor girl. Or at the very least stop being friends with her. Oh and that one girl who just randomly showed up in his bath. She technically was trespassing yet she decided to break a ton of dishes and other items tossing them at him and then runs away and gets into more trouble. Listen first don't be one of those girls who throws things that's just annoying. Second if you are lost don't automatically start running away especially when people are trying to help you. That has to be one of the dumbest things a person can do. Oh I have no idea who I am. Maybe I should randomly run around away from the nice people in the rain. I have no clue were I am or were I am going but whatever I am going to run around. Honestly I would have just let her run away and not deal with her. Especially after she broke everything in my dinning room. Well if she was an adult. A kid I would help. But the problem is the writer made the girls way to emotional. Clearly the writer is a single male who maybe had sisters growing up.

Artistic Anime
brightfamouscucumber16 January 2007
This multi-season series of Japanese Anime, centers around a teenager who is so small for his age, that he grew up being beat up by the girls of his school, so much and so often that he's developed an acute case of gynophobia, not just fearing all girls, but breaking out in hives every time he comes into contact with any.

This includes the girl next door, who, unlike most of the rest, has a crush on him, in spite of being just as willing as the rest to react violently to his faux pa's.

The one exception to his gynophobic reaction, is a girl he meets on another planet, who follows him to earth, and stays with him-- And that's when the adventures really begin! Add to the mix an insanely rich androphobic guy, his literal witch of a little sister, their not-so-covert security/intelligence team, a darling but androphobic secret agent from the other planet, a young sorceress from the other planet, and more, and you can't help but hope the fun doesn't end.

There is nudity, which for many folks might be too taboo to begin to watch the series enough to begin to enjoy it, but, the messages in many of the episodes indicate that the creators are including the nudity as a mode of introducing the taboos of nudism (and beyond) and a portrayal of the need for less nudity (and beyond) in social settings, especially among teens, so, I, for one, believe the nudity to be necessary, not only from the standpoint of ratings, but, as a basis from which to portray the taboos around which many of the episodes revolve.

More anime should be like this!

A fantastic, must-see anime.

Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely loved this anime. That's saying something because I am very selective about what I like. Now to start, the music was pretty good. Music can make or break a series, and this series had great music. It ranges from bad-ass, sad, romantic, or funny. Now let's talk about the characters. First is Yukinari. I really like him because I relate to him. I am also kinda short, weak, and not popular with girls. However, he's a nice and good hearted guy. Next is Fukuyama. He's a perverted version of your typical popular handsome boy. He's pretty much a jerk. He's considered to be the antagonist of the series, which I like because I hate him. However, he's absolutely hilarious and he's the kind of character that you love and hate. Now let's talk about Miharu. She's a cute pink haired girl that Yukinari meets in Seirin, a magical world of mostly women. She's very optimistic and curious, but she's also very kind. I really like her and her relationship with Yukinari. It feels natural and it is great to see some romantic moments between them. Then we have Kirie. She's good at martial arts and she's aggressive, however she's also busty which makes her rather popular. She's hinted at liking Yukinari as well. I hate her character. She expresses her crush for Yukinari by beating him up and enjoys insulting and attacking people. There are more characters, but I'm only going to talk about the main 4. Now, this series is full of comedy and fan service. I consider the fan service like a pick and choose. I like to see fan service from my favorite characters, however there is enough for all of the characters. Despite the fact that the series seems rather superficial because it is mainly a comedy and fan service, I thought that it was touching. Each character had at least 1 episode where we get to see a kind and compassionate side to them, and that helps make the characters more interesting and easier to relate to. Finally I have to mention that the last 3 episodes made me cry. Like I said before, I am generally apathetic about most things, but I thought that the last 3 episodes were very sad and touching. I really liked Yukinari and Miharu and I didn't want to see them separated. Overall, I felt that this was an amazingly hilarious and entertaining show that also had some genuinely touching moments that I would recommend to others.

Brilliant program (Watch it !)
torpedo2618 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Yes as you've read from other reviews of this program it really makes you feel, so for a heartless person like my self who tried very hard through his life so far to block all emotions this program got to me. I loved it, It was funny, loving, friendship, it was brilliant.

As you watch it and finally get to the end you realise how it's like an actual TV series were it can just go on and on and never stop, yet they only did 24 episodes and i see that as 1 season although when you search for the DVD's it's 4 volumes tho usually a volume refers to a book but not in this case.

I would like to point out an observation in means of the year a lot of the programs i come across are released, they are released in a certain year but when people watch them in the UK or US it seems we don't even know about them until 3 - 5 years later. The program finally comes over to us and we enjoy it, so why don't they dub it while in production and send it over to us in the first place then make a website for reviews or just check for reviews on here their very odd.

Any way back to Girls Bravo ! all i can say is watch it and you'll like it, if you can't grow up and get past the fact they show some breasts then you shouldn't watch such an awesome series, if you've watched dragon ball were there shirts always come off the Japanese and Chinese treat chests and breasts exactly the same so grow up !
