Storyline

The ultimate rebel Adela boasts three tattoos, a body piercing and a recent arrest for alleged indecent behavior. Petrified that his beloved daughter will spoil his chances of becoming the next governor of Mexico City, Adela's father has enrolled her in the only remaining charm school for young ladies in the city. Maca Ribera guarantees that her school can turn any young girl into a "domestic goddess" ... that is until she meets Adela. The two determined women face-off in a battle of wills that turns the school and its colorful bunch of school-mates upside down when Maca attempts to transform the irreverent Adela into a suitable First Daughter. I had more fun, making fun at the movie in the theater!...
28 March 2007 | by (Chihuahua, Mexico) – See all my reviews

Completely filled with clichés. It's not a bad movie; it's just that it could have been way lot better. When i first saw the teaser poster, i thought it was going to bee a raunchy movie about girls doing really nasty stuff since, that's the new fashion in Mexican movie-making: profanity, sex and drugs (it only lacked the drugs element, and that's good, since it's intended for +15 year old girls). Boy was i disappointed; since it doesn't even feel like a romantic comedy; nor a comedy per se: Lame plot, bad jokes, predictable characters, and as always, it doesn't reflect the real Mexican society at it's full...

Again, It's not a bad movie, the photography is decent, and after all Camila Sodi looks beautiful, and you get to see Martha Higareda's Bossoms, from time to time, and Blanca Guerra's still as sexy as when she played "La Bronca".

I recommend watching this film on rental, to really get your money's worth; go see another movie... Maybe Kilometro 31.
