Sex & Nudity

  • In another scene, a woman says "Eat me" and the man she addressed replies with "That can be arranged."
  • In a later scene, two women are told to "Strip" so that they can be cleaned as a preventative measure against the disease. They reluctantly begin to remove their clothes. Once their shirts are removed (undergarments still on), they are interrupted.
  • Some Kissing.

Violence & Gore

  • There is no overly graphic violence in this film, but the premise has to do with infection and disease.
  • Many characters are shown with evidence of the disease (veins standing out, severe bruising, bloodshot eyes, coughing up blood).
  • A defenseless victim is shot by a group of men after being pursued by them. The victim's bloodied corpse is later shown hanging above a road.
  • Several dead bodies are shown. Some are moderately decayed.
  • A man shoots at two other characters without warning. One of the victims is shot in the neck (a small amount of blood flows from the wound before camera pans away). The other victim shoots the man in the leg (the wound is shown). The man then shoots the remaining victim in the torso.
  • A dog is seen eating a dead human. This is not extremely graphic, however (only blood is shown).
  • A dog is shot point-bank with a shotgun (off screen).
  • A character is shot multiple times (seen from far off).
  • A charred corpse is shown in a fire.

Profanity

  • 6 abuses of the name "Jesus," and 1 misuse of "Christ." 11 instances of "God," 4 of them in conjunction with the 'd' word; multiple uses of the 's' word, 1 'f' word, multiple times 'a'-hole,' and other curses.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A comment is made about the absence of "weed" since the outbreak of the disease.
  • Characters are seen smoking cigarettes.
  • Characters are seen drinking, and one later appears to be slightly inebriated.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This film has several scenes that could be considered frightening.
  • Additionally, the entire premise of the film may be disturbing for more sensitive viewers.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One scene sees a male character climb into a house window, in this scene he is attacked by a hungry dog. This may make some viewers jump but nothing more. A second part in this same scene is when the character approaches a bed and an infected woman leaps up, this may be scary to people under the age of 12
