What a terrible piece of animation.
In all fairness, for a small-time animation company, the visual quality of the movie is decent. But in terms of creative aspects, this movie lacks originality, new ideas, and sense. Most importantly, when Emelia's "window of opportunity" arrives, it is not explained what the heck that window is. She just says it's there. No explanation for why she stopped being depressed because of it. What!? If only we knew what this window WAS...
The voice acting was also quite annoying. Emelia's voice sounded like it was an adult woman trying way too hard to sound young. I'm not sure if that's the case, but it sure sounded bad.
To its credit, I was at a small film festival in California with movies directed at children. Of all the animated films there, of which there were a lot, this was definitely one of the best ones. But still...
