Graduation approaches...and all sorts of chaos is in the air.

By the way, although the running time is listed at 60 on IMDB, this is a double-length episode.

The original "Paper Chase" television show came out on CBS back in 1978. After a season, the show was canceled. But thanks to the magic of cable television, a few years later, Showtime revived the series. And, finally, in 1986 Hart and his class FINALLY is graduating from law school (a process which usually takes three years). Because of this, the show is a bit sentimental and shows a few clips from previous episodes...but fortunately only a few. Instead of making it a crappy retrospective show, you see the various difficulties the students are experiencing at the end of the year. These include Bell receiving and then losing a job offer, Hart having too many job offers, some first year students dealing with a fascist personality in one of the study groups, a second year student who isn't sure if she wants to complete law school and more. Ultimately, the students do graduate and the show ends.

I liked this episode quite a bit--which is saying a lot since the other four episodes of season four were pretty poor. Overall, very watchable and very satisfying to fans of this wonderful series.
