Promo Package Revealed for Syfy's Being Human

24 December 2010 12:21 PM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

With the January 17, 2011, premiere date for Syfy's "Being Human" redux just a few weeks away, the network's promotions department has started sending out press kits for the show, and we've got a sneak peek at what they contain.

Blastr put together the following "unboxing" video of the package, and below that you'll find about half of the images they posted as well. Be sure to hit up their site for the rest.

We're kind of digging the "True Blood" vibe we got from the campaign, and combining that with the fact that the great Mark Pellegrino plays a major role in the events that will be taking place, we say January 17th can't get here soon enough! And if we're let down, well then, we only have to wait until spring, 2011, for BBC America to start airing Season Three of the British version.

Synopsis:

"Being Human" is a re-imagining of »

Currie Graham previously make a guest appearance on The Mentalist in the season 2 episode “Redline”.  Rumors were swirling that his character, millionaire Walter Mashburn, would be making a return appearance in season three.  Writer Jordan Harper confirmed the rumors recently on his Twitter account: “I’ve been told that the cat is out of the bag, so I guess it’s okay to tell [the] fans that I said hey to Currie Graham yesterday.”

Series creator Bruno Heller told Entertainment Weekly that Mashburn would continue flirting with Teresa Lisbon (played by Robin Tunney) when he made his reappearance on the show.

“As the story unfolds, it seems someone is determined to have Mashburn’s blood, and Mashburn is determined to have Lisbon,” he quipped. “Someone is going to get their wish.”

The CW fast-tracks 'Danni Lowinski' pilot for midseason, bad news for 'Life Unexpected'?

6 October 2010 5:41 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

At last May's network Upfronts, we were surprised to learn that The CW didn't have any original programming lined up for midseason other than a reality show about brides getting in shape for the big day.

Now, it looks like the C-dub is feeling the crunch, because according to Deadline they've greenlit and fast-tracked a new legal dramedy, "Danni Lowinski."

Based on the 13-episode German series, "Danni Lowinski" follows a hairdresser who graduates from law school and can't find a job (presumably because she's too young, cute, and perky to be a serious lawyer). Undeterred, Danni starts her own law firm... at a kiosk in a shopping mall.

Though the pilot hasn't even been written yet, The CW is already considering it for midseason. They're confident in the source material and in key writer Snyder Urman, whose "90210," "Men In Trees," "Gilmore Girls," and "Lipstick Jungle" credits speak to her ability to write for women. »
