Trivia

Was aired in Australia within a day of being aired in the US up until the mid-season break. After the break, Network Ten failed to return the show to air for around 2 months after the US. This delay, combined with lack of advertising and a poor time slot led to Jericho being "shelved" after Episode #1.13 "Black Jack". This is a fate shared by several other cult shows, such as Battlestar Galactica (2004). See more »

Goofs

In the pilot, Jake Green drives through miles of what looks like prairie as he returns to Jericho. In fact, the terrain looks like California's Central Valley. Later in the series, much of the action set in the countryside was clearly not filmed in Kansas. It is the hilly scrubland of the montane chaparral around Los Angeles or points south, filmed during the summer. See more »

Crazy Credits

Each episode's title card is accompanied with audio containing only Morse code (dots and dashes, or short and long beeps) which, when translated, provides a short hint (around 3 words) about the episode to come. See more »

Jericho, a refreshing step up in quality
2 April 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

So often I lament the passing of quality broadcast commercial television and then something new, challenging, such as Jericho shows up.

I think it is certainly timely in light of threats from without and perhaps even within our nation.

I was concerned that the 2nd season was not going to measure up as the first episode was rather shaky but it picked up and ended with a bang.

I am glad that CBS brought it back for a finale.

Casting was excellent and I am still astonished at the quality of the writing and plotting. Just so well done.
