It is co-presented by Nickelodeon and Chogrin, who curated the show (All the cool galleries are having Chogrin curate their shows these days). Chogrin always brings a lot of international artists, and it's fun to see what pop culture touchstones mean to artists from other countries. We have a few pieces to share with you today, but with over 75 artists participating, there was no way to include them all. If you want to see more, you can head over to the event’s tumblr, or if you’re in New York, you can see the show in person when it opens this Friday, September 3. The poster for the show, above, is by artist Glen Brogan, who just finished his own show at the gallery.

'Jurassic World' Wraps Production with Tease of Tyrannosaurus Rex

5 August 2014 12:55 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

After director Colin Trevorrow jumped on the Chris Pratt hype train by posting a picture of his character in Jurassic World, just when Guardians of the Galaxy was hitting theaters, now he's finally teasing some of the dinosaurs in the film. It's only one dinosaur, and it looks to be the familiar teeth and jaws of the tyrannosaurus rex we've seen in all the Jurassic Park films up until now. However, there's a chance it could also be the jawline of a new dinosaur as well. Either way, the photo was accompanied with the single-world Twitter update of "Wrap." And take that into account with producer Frank Marshall's confirmation of the end of production, and it's time to begin the long post-production process. Look below! Here's the two Twitter updates from director Colin Trevorrow and producer Frank Marshall: Wrap. pic.twitter.com/Wln3bVX87n— Colin Trevorrow (@colintrevorrow) August 5, 2014 Big day for Jw. »

'Jurassic World' Wraps With a T. Rex Tease (Photo)

5 August 2014 11:15 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

The "Jurassic World" production officially wrapped on Tuesday, and director Colin Trevorrow celebrating by showing off a T. rex from the flick on Twitter.

The photo shows a "Jurassic World"-branded clapboard perched precariously in the jaws of a dinosaur -- though it appears to be either a plaster model or bones, not a fully fleshed-out tyrannosaurus. Either way, the image is goosebump-inducing, if only because it signifies that we'll get to see the finished "World" soon, and the full version of that dinosaur along with it.

Producer Frank Marshall also shared a snap from the set to celebrate the end of production, revealing that Bryce Dallas Howard's character, Claire, appears to be the last person we'll glimpse on-screen.

Rome – Expanding Italian production company Wildside is looking to grow its presence in the international TV arena with several new projects, including high-concept skeins being penned by two of the country’s best-selling authors, Niccolò Ammaniti and Paolo Giordano.

Giordano, whose novel “The Solitude of Prime Numbers” won Italy’s top literary nod, the Premio Strega, is at work on a scripted series working-titled “Lo Sciamano” (The Shaman) about a man who emanates what are believed to be magic powers in a European city outside Italy. “Numbers” was adapted into a Wildside-produced film helmed by Saverio Costanzo. It went to Venice in 2010.

Ammaniti is instead at work on “The Miracle,” a mystery/thriller/drama which turns on a magical event that impacts the lives of characters across borders, including in an anglo-saxon country. A top Italian director will helm the skein, now in advanced scripting stages. Ammaniti’s books have been made into six movies, »

Interview: Michael Spiller discusses the 'Mindy Project' finale and the job of directing producer

6 May 2014 12:54 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

We're many years into the Cult of the Showrunner on TV and nobody would argue, I don't think, that in the vast majority of cases, TV is a writer-producer's medium.  And nobody would argue, I suspect, with the notion that on Fox's "The Mindy Project," the driving creative force is Mindy Kaling, who is the creator and star and leads an extraordinary strong writing stuff of comedy veterans.  With that focus, I've often felt that one of the industry's least understood figures is the directing-producer. Sometimes, like with a Pamela Fryman on "How I Met Your Mother," that person may end up directing ever episode of a series, so their name is easy to notice and retain. Other times, the directing producer may be a frequent director on a series, but they aren't behind the camera on every episode, which makes their involvement a bit nebulous in the mind of some viewers. »
