On its official North American release to cinemas, the film opened in 102 discount theatres, also called "dollar theatres" for their very low admission prices, rather than at regular first-run cinemas with normal ticket prices, which was a factor in its poor opening weekend box-office earnings.
In the 2012 film "Silver Linings Playbook", Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper walk by a theater showing " Midnight Meat Train", which starred Cooper.
Vinnie Jones' second movie in which he remains silent until final few minutes of the film, the first being Gone In 60 Seconds.
This is the film playing at the Drive-in during the opening scene of 'Out of Furnace' starring Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson.

Lionsgate had recently hired exec Joe Drake when the film was completing production. Drake, for some unknown reason, greatly disliked the film and decided to give it a limited theatrical run in budget cinemas.

Thanks to the pics lackluster US box-office, many of the film's foreign distributors decided to send it straight to DVD in their native countries.

The train in the film is a modified 2200 Chicago elevated car.
Nori Satô's character "Erika Sakaki" shares the last name with one of director 'Ryuhei Kitamura''s regulars, Hideo Sakaki.
Patrick Tatopoulos was once attached to direct this film.
