Don's team investigates a rapist who's converted to a serial killer, as Charlie struggles with memories of his mother.
Charlie dreams about going to a convenience store with his father, where they encounter a man that is holding up the place. A shot is fired, and Alan Eppes falls to the floor. The nightmare continues when his dead mother makes an appearance. Charlie is awakened by Alan, who is alive and well, but he is still shaken by what he just dreamed.
Don starts investigating about a serial killer that seems to be having the same modus operandi. Young women are found dead in their cars with needles stuck to their arms. The victims fit the pattern. Don and the FBI team become involved in solving the mystery behind it. It appears the killer has the power to overwhelm the women and then take them to places near their home.
The investigating team gets lucky when they go to interview Charlotte Yates. They have reason to believe she knows more than what she offers. The detectives want to know more about his son Chandler, who, for all practical purposes is a "mama's boy". This man might be the one that has been causing so many unnecessary deaths in the area.
John Behring, a member of the "Numb3rs" team directed the episode, which was written by Barry Schindel. This chapter features Jobeth Williams playing the late Margaret Eppes, even if she is supposed to be a woman in her son's dreams. Olympia Dukakis has some good moments as Mrs. Chandler. The rest of the cast does their usual good work for Mr. Behring.
