I saw "Hijos del Carnaval" (Filhos do Carnaval) in HBO, and I must say that is the kind of miniseries that you don't want to end. Only six chapters with a wonderful photography of the Favela (poor neighborhoods), the whole underworld of gambling, the Samba... one of the most hottest dances in the world... and a word (and an event also) that could reunite the favela, the gambling and the samba: The Carnaval.
When you watched in the past, movies like "City of God", you still enjoy the photography, some terrible places, and the story, this miniseries come to refresh some concepts and prove once and again, that Brazil is a great place to tell stories charged with hard situations, a crude reality, and great scenarios.
A must see miniseries, A+ from Brazil, with the hand of HBO.
