A fun and energetic first episode, "Bubble, Bubble, Oil and Trouble", aired first in 1981, perfectly sums up what this new Spider-Man series will be about: Peter Parker managing his double life as Spider-Man. As Peter, he has the responsibility to earn some money for his elderly Aunt May while as Spider-Man he has to battle colorful and way too strong supervillains.
In this episode, Peter Parker/Spider-Man tackles the dangerous Doctor Octopus, armed with, well, four metal arms who do his every will.
While Doc Ock's is basically just a heist of an expensive ruby and there's a really annoying original character named Mortimer who sort of works a rival photographer for Peter at the Daily Bugle, this episode still is as entertaining as a Spider-Man story should be.
