THE TITLE IS MORE FAMOUS THAN THE STORY?

Kaz Garas, one of a few Lithuanian-born actors in Hollywood, plays a reverend who needs help in finding who killed his brother. This is a very good character study, and Garas is convincing as he has a difficult job, getting the Squad to piece together the crime. He was a featured guest star on many cop shows at this time in his career, and this episode features an excellent supporting cast. A very, very interesting side note concerning the title, SUFFER, LITTLE CHILDREN (which has since changed to ALLOW, LITTLE CHILDREN) as it was taken from the King James Bible, and applause to the resourceful writers! Also, watch the Paramount backlot scenes (if you have a keen eye). One fight scene is right around the corner from MANNIX's famous office and garage. This has also been the case on several episodes of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, which frequently used Mannix's car port to blow up lots of cars! Well directed by Lawrence Dobkin, a veteran of cop shows, who early in his career was an actor and appeared in such comedies as I LOVE LUCY. SEASON 3 (1971) EPISODE 18 dvd box set.

Not a Very Cohesive Episode
kgraovac26 December 2023
Murder, fencing stolen goods; dog groomers; upstart songwriters; inner city clinics, etc. This episode seemed very disjointed and jumbled to me, with bits and pieces of different things all thrown together. It wasn't one of the most entertaining ones of the season.

Most of the "kids" at the clinic looked to be around 25 years old.

Ian Sander, who plays the dog groomer, had a very unusual, unsettling look about him and had just appeared as "Boy in Tub" in cult classic BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS.

Jenny Sullivan gave a very good performance as Angie, the woman who takes over the clinic after the boss is killed.
