Powerglide and Bumblebee discover a mysterious island, inhabited with pre-historic wildlife. At Autobots' headquarters, Wheeljack tries to train Grimlock, but the other Dinobots go berserk and nearly destroy the whole place. Optimus Prime decrees the Dinobots are to be banished to the strange island, where they will stay till they learn to control their powers, and they obey. Unfortunately, Laserbeak follow the Dinobots on their way, and discovers that the island contains massive energy sources: active volcanoes, oil pools and steaming geysers. Spike borrowed four books about dinosaurs from the library. The covers of two of which are readable: The title of the top book is "Ere Cenozoique Periode Tertiare" - apparently derived from "Ere Cénozoïque (Tertiaire et Quaternaire)", a book by Charles Pomerol, French geologist. The author of the second book is Gideon Mantel, English geologist and paleontologist. See more »

On the island of dinosaurs, we see a Pterosaur (possibly a Dimorphodon, judging by its appearance) abducting Spike and taking him to its nest. Firstly, the size and strength of the reptile in question here is immensely over-estimated. Secondly, the eggs found in its nest are each about the same size as the animal itself, which of course would be utterly impossible. Thirdly, the fairly wide-spread notion that Pterosaurs, if they were alive, would fly away with humans to eat them is also flawed, as they mostly ate insects, fish or other small animals, sometimes carcasses. Narrator: [summarizing the next part of the episode] As the Decepticons plunder the island resources, strange timewarps appear in the rest of the world, and the Autobots must find a way to stop Megatron. All in the exciting conclusion of DINOBOT ISLAND!
