In this episode we get to be introduced to Mary Alice, once again. And how she met the « desperate housewives ». Unlike Paul and Zack, I always enjoy still having her on the show, once in a while. Season 2 was going for the shocking moments. Andrew sleeps with his mother's boyfriend. So Bree decides to literally leave him by the side of the road. Lynette learned « harmless » Tom cheated on her, and more. Gabby got her baby taken away from her, but recovered pretty fast. And Eddie set Susan's house on fire, after learning about her « betrayal ». Like I said, season 1 may have had the best mystery. But season 2 was big on dramatics. The Appelwhite's big secret is revealed, and it's always done in a disappointing way. When you think of such a great character like Betty, being related to the blandest mystery of the series. Those flashbacks were a great way to ease the underwhelming reveal. And redeem the episode at the same time. Lynette's reaction to Tom's confession, was also a thing that made me love it even more. However I'm not liking this Xiao-Mei storyline anymore. She's clearly up to no good, since day one. And is what will set the divorce between Gabby and Carlos, in motion. Is it ok if I find Susan and Mike boring?
