Adam Brake: I don't know, Matthew. I really don't know.
Matthew Brake: Wait, maybe there's another circle... besides the stones.
Adam Brake: What do you mean?

Father and son vs The Happy people of Milbury.
1 January 2016 | by (Swansea, United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Adam and son Matthew stand alone as the only two people yet to undergo the Happy treatment, but even they are held in Hendrick's house set to meet the same fate as the other villagers. Adam discovers the process Hendrick is using, the power of the supernova/black hole is being harnessed to turn people into mindless and obedient citizens. Matthew and Adam manage to overcome Hendrick and stop his plans, they watch in horror as the locals are turned into stones.

It's been a really enjoyable series, it ends on a high note, a particularly well acted episode, once again the combinations of Thomas, Cuthbertson and Demin work particularly well together. The ending was a nice and thoughtful touch too, made you think.

I'm sure this was iconic viewing for many a teenager during its transmission, as watchable today. 8/10
