Six Degrees: Morrissey to Julia Roberts

12 July 2008 10:00 PM, PDT | From Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news

Former Smiths frontman Morrissey has generated something of a "miserabilist" reputation over the years. His performance at the recent O2 Wireless Festival did little to dispel that thought after he sarcastically claimed to be "absolutely thrilled to death" about Kylie Minogue's OBE. Whatever film habits Morrissey has, they're unlikely to involve sitting down for a Julia Roberts DVD marathon. Hollywood's rom-com queen has made a career out of being upbeat and positive, something Morrissey has managed to successfully avoid. Morrissey to... Samantha Janus - This odd couple are linked by the much-maligned Eurovision Song Contest. Morrissey's talks to perform Britain's 2007 entry fizzled out. It would've been an intriguing offering for sure, but another 'Girlfriend In A Coma' would have flatlined (more)

Erika Christensen Will be Tortured

30 June 2008 2:50 PM, PDT | From DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news

I don't care what you say, Death Sentence (review) was the best revenge flick to grace the silver screen since Mel Gibson produced Paparazzi. Can that same kind of gold be struck for a third time in a row?

"Six Degrees" and Flight Plan beauty Erika Christensen has been officially cast in the film formerly known as Tortured. Why the title was dropped is beyond me, but on top of that news, Bd found out that Charlie Sheen is also out of the Rob Lieberman directed mystery pic.

What we do know about the untitled feature is that it revolves around a couple who lose their child to a pedophile who slips through the cracks in the judicial system. This kind of injustice won't go unanswered if the parents have anything to say about it. The bacon is burning!

Hopefully we'll know more about this soon. I just hope the

Six Degrees: Sharon Stone to Michael Jackson

31 May 2008 10:00 PM, PDT | From Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news

Celebrities wading into political debate is never a good idea. Sharon Stone found out as much when she commented on "karma" causing the recent earthquake in China. In retaliation, the country's largest cinema chain banned screenings of all of her films. While Chinese cinema-goers are lamenting the loss of Basic Instinct 2, Michael Jackson has been going to increasingly elaborate lengths to avoid being spotted in public. Attending a mixed martial arts game in a wheelchair, sunglasses and a coat around his face, it seems the King of Pop might need a few lessons in keeping things inconspicuous. Sharon Stone to... Sienna Miller - Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Sharon will surely have been a bit miffed after hearing Sienna Miller's outburst about the state's second largest city Pittsburgh. While filming in the area, Sienna dubbed it "S***sburgh", (more)

Six Degrees: Harrison Ford to Cliff Richard

24 May 2008 10:40 PM, PDT | From Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news

He might be old enough to draw a pension, but it seems Harrison Ford is in no mood to retire just yet. With the long-awaited return of his ophiophobic ("why did it have to be snakes!") archaeologist, there's no better time to kick off Six Degrees than with Indiana Jones himself. Outside of the film set, Ford has a reputation for being a bit grumpy, so it's difficult to imagine him bonding with the chipper, tennis-loving popstar Sir Cliff Richard. If you're scratching your head to find the connections, then read on as Digital Spy presents a route from Harrison to Cliff through Six Degrees Of Separation. Harrison Ford to... Tom Selleck - Strange as it sounds, Harrison Ford wasn't the first choice to play Indiana Jones back when George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were looking to cast their all-action hero for Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Six Degrees: Arnie to Coleen McLoughlin

3 May 2008 10:56 PM, PDT | From Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news

You wouldn't expect to find Coleen McLoughlin discussing politics with Arnold Schwarzenegger at a sw***y dinner party or indeed Arnie donning a red footie strip to cheer on Man Utd at Old Trafford. If ever two celebs moved in completely different circles, it's the Liverpudlian Wag and the Austrian-born actor-turned-California Governor. Surely it's not possible to connect these two wildly dissimilar stars in just a few short steps? Erm... actually, it is. In time-honoured Six Degrees tradition, it takes only a scary mask, an unpronouncable symbol and a golden raspberry to discover they're like two peas in a pod.

Ds takes you from Arnie to Coleen through Six Degrees of Separation.

Arnold Schwarzenegger to... Jamie Lee Curtis - Back in his acting days, Arnie starred as a secret agent whose wife believes he's a computer salesman . . .
